I know this has been done to death. I've used the search function, and have read countless threads on the subject. I'm still not satisfied!

I'm looking for a dentist. I need a couple of veneers (or possibly crowns) up front, some whitening, and possibly an implant. I may also have a cavity.

I'd love to find an amazing dentist who won't try to scam me by suggesting procedures I don't need or want for problems I don't have. Prices should be average for the industry. Most of what I want/need is cosmetic, so I'd be willing to pay a little more for top quality work. English ability would be great, but isn't necessary so long as the quality and honesty are there. State of the art equipment, and proper use of anesthetic are also very important.

If you've had extensive work of this nature done by someone you're prepared to vouch for, let me know! If you've had a bad experience, feel free to share that too. I'm near Anyang, but am happy to go pretty much anywhere for the above. Seoul...Thailand...Vietnam Very Happy

It would assist if you could set out:

1. What you had done;
2. What you paid;
3. Whether you shopped around or obtained multiple opinions;
4. Level of satisfaction (say... 1-10, with 10 being perfect);
5. What, if any, problems you had.

Please feel free to PM me if you'd rather not post on a public forum.

I'm NOT interested in unpaid advertising masquerading as legit advice.

It is a worrying trend with these threads that the Mods should definitely look at. They are full of spam advertising by dentists and/or their staff. I'd estimate that 1/3 of the posts on the subject fall into this category. They're easily recognizable by the language used, the repetitive nature of what is written, and the fact that the posts by that individual are specifically limited to this topic. These places MAY be good, but I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole as they're already being dishonest in contributing in this manner.

Thanks!

I went to a good one in uiwang (opp. lotte mart, third or fourth floor), called Seoul plus or something. There is one good english speaking dentist, they explain everything, they are clean and professional. I would recommend them.

The work I had done, a tooth extraction (I broke it in half), they suggested an implant but i refused and they didn't pressure me. One crown (didn't need a root canal) and about 3 fillings as well as a scaling. If you have any questions feel free to ask or pm me.

Yes this is poorly written but had Lasek yesterdays and everthing is a little blurry, I'm not spam Laughing

I don't think you'll find a better qualified and more competent English-speaking dentist in Korea than the one I just used: Tufts Dental
www.tuftsdental.net
Dr. Gina Sohn is a graduate of Tufts University, studied at University of Paris, has practiced dentistry in Boston, and is licensed in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Jersey.
Her office is located near the POSCO Crossroads and is about a 10 minute walk from either (line 2) Seolleung Station, exit 10 or Samsung Station, exit 5. Their phone # is 02-553-7512.

I was so satisfied by her work that I told her that I'd help spread the word on the Internet forum for native English teachers.

Did you miss the part where I explained that I've already been through all of that? The threads are either old, loaded with spam, lacking detail, or all three.

Tufts is one of the establishments I was referring to with regard to spamming these boards. A quick search nets posts of the kind I mentioned above. Frankly, I had written her off.

You've obviously been around a while, so I'm not leveraging that accusation against you, but I'd be grateful for more detail about what you had done, when, and at what cost. Feel free to PM me.

I go to IT Dental Clinic near Guro. I don't have the number with me at the moment but I'll find it.

All I've ever had done were general checkups and cleanings. My husband had a couple cavities filled with gold for a reasonable price but I can't remember how much.

Nice guy with decent English although when he's working on your teeth and trying to speak at the same time it just comes out as "There's aaaaaaaa ummmmmm hmmmmmm aaaaa oooohhhhh in aaaaaaaa uuuuuuuhhhhhhhh hmmm......" The guy just doesn't seem to do two things at the same time. Laughing I finally figured out just to close my mouth and let him speak.
