I dont work in a public school but at a university and have tickets booked for a few days in Japan after Chuesok.
Anyone know if ill be forced into quarintine like the public school teachers or if it is just a reccomendation from immigration when re-entering the country?

I work at a public school and was not forced into quarantine. There's even one student from my school who's quarantined now but that's because he actually has the H1N1 virus.
The first day of the semester, all teachers in Busan received the manual directing actions to control this virus. It was sent electronically, so if you didn't receive it from your provincial/metropolitan Office of Education, speak with your managing co-teacher (aka "handler") for a print copy. There is no requirement to control the schools nor to force anyone who's traveled overseas into a week's quarantine if they do not have the virus. |

I doubt you'll be forced into quarantine. Immigration would stop you if you had the virus, but other than that, everything should be fine. |
