Pretty much any dentist can do it for you. Just find a sign that says 치과 (chee gwa).
Cost is about 400,000won. Takes a total of about 4 visits. One a week spread over a month.
Hurts like the dickens though. First time not bad. Second, a little painful, but tolerable. Third, some people decides it's too much and quit right there. Fourth, and you'll be begging for mercy.
Imagine walking at night through really really cold winter, and sucking in air through your mouth onto your teeth. Know that shooting pain you feel? Times that by 10 and you'll get the idea.
And the dentist can't prescribe anything to make the pain go away. You just have to stick it out for a few days after.
Best of luck! |

Oh man, that sucks about the pain. I wonder if they refund your money if you don't go through with the third and fourth visits...
Do your teeth get halfway white at least? |

eIn and Smurf, what kind of whitening process are you talking about. For that kind of pain, how long do the whitening effects last? |

If you are anything like 90% of the foreigners i see here, try to priritise the changes
1. Fix your back, you are not the hunchback of notre dame
2. Fix your ugly face
3. Eat less so that you can walk properly
4. Wear clothes that are clean
5. Wear clothes that are suitable for work
6. Remove the black carrier bags from under your eyes
7. wash
8. Do not drink beer sat outside Gs 24's on plastic chairs
9. Cut hair if too long. Grow hair if too short
10. Fix teeth
If your the other 10% then ignore and enjoy your non-english teaching job |

scaling is just having your teeth cleaned. You know, the routine 6 month visit you do where they tell you not to put metal objects in your mouth and then proceed to use metal spikes to pick at the cracks and crevices and polish your teeth to a squeeky clean smile. No whitening though. Not sure how they came up with the term, but it's supposedly konglish (i.e. based on an english word). |

I tried those. Problem i had was it made my mouth water to the point where they would slip off my teeth. That and they're super distracting to have in your mouth. Still, i heard the pain is hella real with dentist teeth whitening. |
