|
|
My brought over stateside stash is now almost opseoyo
Coteacher said they don't sell "Advil" in Korea. I'm like ok- what about the generic ingredient of ibuprofen. She says - Tylenol, I say no.
One would think ibuprofen would be available in a pharmacy here. Does anyone know? |

It is. They call it Eee-bupropen, not Eye-biprofen, but they all carry it, cheap. |

I think I understand your romanization there, but could you or someone else type it in hangeul just to be sure? I've been wanting to get some myself. Thanks. |

They have it but the dosage will be weaker than an extra strength Advil from back home. |

Go to a pharmacy and ask for "Iburon" (이부론 or 이부런 i don't remember). It's ibuprofen. If they dont have it, they may try and give you acetaminophen so read the box (if you can read hangeul). |

Yeah I've found the generic pretty easily.
If the pharmacist doesn't know 'ibuprofen', just point to your head like you have a headache and see what they offer you. One will be Tylenol (easy to spot) and one of the others will be it.
The last time I bought it, it actually said 'ibuprofen' on the box in English.
No problem. |

이부로펜 is the Hangeul spelling. A box of 12 pills runs about 2,000KRW. I have had pills in both 200 and 400mg. Arlico (pharmaceutical company) makes a 400mg version. |

Sometimes it's just called 브루펜 (Blue-pen). Cheap stuff. I still buy the real deal Advils from the red door for a king's ransom. |

I think you are misinformed. Advil tablets are just 200g but the Ibuprofen you get here is usually 400g. I even got some 600g ones once! |

600g? That's quite the dose!
Not trying to be the grammar police, but couldn't resist that! |
