I'm going to be in Itaewon for lunc on the weekend and fancy some Middle Eastern or Greek food. Does anyone know of any good ones. Also, I want to have a look around some foreign supermarkets for some things, lamb and different stirfy sauces and anything else interesting they may have. Any info greatly appreciated.

Santorini is supposed to be pretty good Greek grub. It's located in that alleyway of "nicer" restaurants behind the Hamilton Hotel. Stay away from the Dubai restaurant that's near Coldstone--nothing good can come out of it. I think it'd be hard to find good ME food out here. Please update if you find some during your lunch, though.

Marrakesh Nights. There are two. One at each end of Itaewon's main street. The bigger one is next to the Cheil Communications building towards Hangagnjin Station, the other across from the Starbucks and McDonalds towards Noksapyeong. It is off the main street up the rising alley near the Mailbox etc.

Petra, on the hill overlooking the Yongsan end of Noksapyeong/Itaewon has solid Iranian (I think) grub. Marakesh (sp) Night is around the corner from it.

Hopefully you read this before you go. I'd heard good things about Santorini in the past but I'd take this more recent critique as the one to follow.

Santorini's ok if you don't mind your 20,000 won gyros meal including a prepackaged Costco Mexican tortilla.

I love that place, although it seems like the products get roated a lot. I bought cheddar and sour cream chips there and went back 3 weeks later and they were gone, but I did find Nutella so all was good.

PS-if anyone knows of a place in Daegu selling Nutella, please let me know!

Murree Restaurant - Just before the Mosque, on the right hand side. Yellow coloured door, Indian/Pakistani restaurant.

It's also called Korean Muslim Food.

Trust me Gav, go to Murree restaurant, order a chicken curry with 2 rotis. I am confident you will love it, please follow my advice. Laughing

I second Petras.
They make great bread and it's great to order a variety of dips and salads and falafel to share.
