I'll give a pass to Robertson Davies for Fifth Business.

But no pass for Bob Dylan, who has maybe three good songs in a fortysome year career. Well, even a blind squirrel finds some nuts.

Dylan writes great songs, but has an awful voice. 'Lay Lady Lay' is about the most melodic thing he's ever done.

Very true. I saw him live in 99 (I think it was 99). His voice was dreadful.

The only good Dylan songs are the ones somebody else sings.

Exactly, especially in the case of The Byrds.

Technically, not an opinion.

EDIT: Komerican is not a troll. He makes some decent points, sometimes.

As an apologist I find Old Gil more entertaining than Komerican and actually stop to read Old Gil's posts whereas sometimes I'll just totally skim through Komerican's posts. Actually, Old Gil's recent posts have been pretty good and I find myself nodding to some of them.

DWAEJI is not a basher.

Cold KimChi sucks. Hot Kimchi does the body good.

The fact that people feel safe leaving an entire year's rice crop out on the street says more about law & order here than any court ruling.

Sports Sedans are cooler cars than Sports Cars.

Cheerleaders do not belong at baseball games. However the K-Chants are great for baseball.

Tae Kwon Do is great for landing a moderately painful blow and then stumbling over yourself and the guy you just kicked.

Bob Dylan is okay, not bad, not great.

Jim Norton is one of the best comedians out there. Opie & Anthony is better than Howard Stern.

Sifl & Olly was great.

Hot, Spiced Mead IS awesome. Nothing like Chaucer's with the spice pack.

Men who own guns do not have small manhoods.

White Zin is a good wine.

Impressionism is good, but not great.

Lee was not Overrated. Grant was underrated. Stonewall was very, very good, but not great. Civil War style combat (closed-order formations) made sense.

It is better to be on the offensive than the defensive.

The Lagg-7 was the best piston-engine fighter plane of WWII. The Yak-3 was the second best. The Soviets produced the finest fighter planes of WWII.

A Raisin in the Sun is very relevant to the Korean-American experience.

Aretha Franklin has sex appeal.

Cheerleaders belong at any game! And at a few other places I can also suggest, around midnight... Cool
