The idiocy of it all is that this guy was obviously a certifiable nutcase. The army's response? Send him to a highly sensitive combat zone with low morale problems and a highly questionable objective to administer psychiatric care! If it wasn't such a tragedy I'd say they got what they deserved.

Interesting that none of the people who knew him well, described him as a "certifiable nutcase"
The most that was ever mentioned was that he had difficulties with patients. That's kind of a stretch.
Easy to say it now AFTER the fact. |
