I'm heading to Honolulu for 10 days next month.
Any ideas on what to do or where to stay? We're looking to spend only about 120,000 a night max, as we'll be travelling for 3 months. |

Zippy found a room on the North Shore for $60 a night the week before Christmas. The Pipeline Masters runs from the 8th thru the 20th.
Booked thru Expedia, and this Honolulu hotel's rates start at $75:
Castle Maile Sky Court.
Or if you really want to rough it, for $27/night, there's Backpackers� Vacation Inn and Plantation Village on the North Shore too. That's not a room though, that's a hovel.
Pearl Harbor, Punchbowl National Cemetary (Honolulu area), and Waimea Falls (North Shore) are what I'd recommend besides the surfing tournaments.
The Honolulu harbor marina at Christmas is beautiful with all the boats lit up. That's something for a night out not to miss while you're there.
