PLease can someone help?
When i finally get a job in SK, i will need to go to Ireland to get a visa (i currently live in South Africa but have an Irish Passport)
So, does anyone how long it takes for a Visa to go through? I dont know how the hell i will afford living in Ireland for 2/3 weeks. I hadnt budgeted it all!
Thanks |

Last 2008, I dropped it in on a Friday and received it the following Wednesday. I think you can pay extra to have it the next day though. Email them to ask: [email protected]
Edit: I'm not sure, but it might take longer if you haven't taught in Korea before. Also, there might be an interview now? |

| As an aside, I have noticed that many South Africans seem to have a second passport? Why is that? Is South Africa that bad or unstable that you guys always have one foot out the door? A genuine question. |

Thanks, i emailed them on Friday so just waiting for a reply.
Yup, i think there is an interview now.
Passport wise, the South African passport isnt great to have-you have to pay expensive Visa's whilst travelling around Europe etc
Most South Africans would jump at the chance at having a UK/Irish passport. And also, if things to do to hell in South Africa then people can go live in Europe... |
