I was told that my shipment will get fedexed to Korea but will get held up at customs. What happens after customs gets hold of it?[/quote]

I to recently received a gold jewellry here. I think by law I should have
paid duty, but customs can't open everything. They probably focus
on larger packages and packages that "smell" a little rasta-like.

I have also found that customs tends to open couriered packages more
often than, say, 1st class or priority mail.

I was told that when my package arrives, customs will hold it and I'll have to go pick it up. Is that what you guys did as well?

They only hold it if they want you to pay duty. I have been here since
1996 and I have paid duty once. Packages usually come right to my
door.

Usually cigars.

Luck of the draw. I never paid but lots of Dave's posters have been clipped. Good luck.
