Anyway, I can understand why the locals in Asia get pissed at foreigners. We're not good at holding our liquor, so we get really loud and obnoxious as a result. I've even seen foreigners, presumably from the big mosque on Hooker Hill, looking annoyed by the loud, drunk Westerners in Itaewon. |
We're not good at holding our liqour? HA!

I'm guessing you'll get banned fairly soon, so not much point replying to you further. Till then, have fun pretending to know about Japan (as if you've even been there - keep that dream alive). |
Why would I get banned? I didn't disobey the forum rules or anything.
If you were actually personally offended by my sarcastic post, that's your problem.
I've seen plenty of racial sarcastic posts in this board.
BTW, you asked for it. |
Racist comments will not be tolerated. You have been warned. |

I dunno, I've seen a bit of it (mainly isolated to places like Roppongi), but I find it to be actually quite rare... I live in Bangkok, but spend much of my time in Tokyo, and they're like night and day. I account for it being the price difference. Tokyo is just way too expensive for your average drunken miscreant to take advantage of (unlike Bangkok). It's also just supply and demand - since the wages and living standard are much higher, the low level riff raff who just want to teach English to pay for drinking and a debauched lifestyle don't usually last long, whereas in other parts of Asia they'll hire just about anyone. Korea falls in the middle (but I find there's more animosity there than in Thailand). Most people seem to get on quite well in Japan and respect the culture, but there are exceptions of course. |
I agree most people in foreigners I met in Japan actually want to be there and really like and respect most of Japanese culture. |

Agreed, while I was living there the only drunks misbehaving I saw were Japanese. Most for the gaikokujin I saw acted very respectfully.
As for the protesters, they are in a minority and everytime I talked about them with regular Japanese think they are idiots. |

Whatever. Sounds like just another troll from "asiafinest.com" (or maybe Komerican's sock?) trying to come on Dave's to show off, stirring up non-existent anti-Japanese and anti-White sentiment. The embarrassing over-usage of "hahaha"s and "lol"s says it all. Typical.
For the record, I'm actually half-Japanese (though born and raised in the US), can speak it pretty well, and have spent a lot of time there. Many of my friends are Japanese. I have a pretty good idea of how things are there. You can pretend you know what you're talking about with people on here who have little or no experience with Japan, but I definitely know better. |
So, you are one of those half breeds? That's fine.
Just because you are a half-japanese [Mod Edited to take out slur], and spent a lot of time in japan, you can tell what japanese people think? That's quite a skill you got there.
It's funny when you get offended thinking I try to bring up a subject that seems to bash japan, which I am not, and yet, most of people here seems completely fine with bashing korea all the time. Funny, yet, ironic.
BTW, I've talked with lot of japanese university students and they say completely opposite things from what you say. They say western foreigners act like bunch of jackasses, from their experiences. Although I've only been to japan for only few months, I tend to get my informations from people who were actually born and raised there.
Excuse my lack of grammar skill. |
What's really funny is how much of a hypocrite you are. Funny, yet ironic, as you say.
First off, you seem to know exactly what people posting on Dave's think, because you 'know' that vistorq thinks you are bashing Japan and is offended by it. Quite a skill, as you say.
You also think everyone on this thread is fine with all the Korea bashing that goes on on Dave's, again showing your amazing telepathic ability.
The fact is it's pretty obvious you're an anti-white racist, and your purpose in creating this thread was to show how happy you are that a few Japanese hate white people - and black people - as well. I guess you forgot that only a couple of months back some Japanese were protesting against Korean tourists in Takeshima too. Was anyone crass enough to go over to "asiafinest" and go 'hahaha lol' about it then too? If not, I guess that makes you a bigger racist troll than all the Korea bashers on Dave's who so offend you. How ironic.
I don't mind admitting I'm offended by your racism, and I wonder why the Mods, who are supposed to clamp down on racism, don't do anything about it - although I see they've already had to edit out a racist term you used. [edit]I see you got your warning. [/edit]
I'll give you credit for one thing: at least you're self-aware about your grammar. |

LoL, what is asiafinest? You people keep mentioning that I'm from asiafinest. Some kind of racist asian forum, I guess? Funny thing is, I believe some of you guys go there to post since you guys seems to know lot more about it than I do.
BTW, I'm not racist. Trust me. |

Technically, he may be correct.
You can be a nationalist and not actually a racist.
Though, is ethnocentrism a new word to describe racism?
It does sometimes become difficult to describe racism as the word gets thrown around a lot.
A few years ago, I was passing a BBQ in Australia and noticed that a couple of friends of mine were there. They were from Korea , (it was a korean BBQ) and so I stopped to chat.
Another korean came up who was drunk at the time and started abusing me as an american and telling me to go home. I just ignored him and my friends forced him away.
Now to me that was a racist attack and my two friends werent racist to me. Though, these two friends of mine would not have anything to do with other friends of mine who were melanesian. They did not even want to say hello to me or them, when we were together.
Sometimes it seems that racism is determined by who it hurts or who is offended by it. I guess I mean, that if I had met my two friends in only one situation, I would not have considered them racist. Though seeing them in another situation, then they were racist.
Now are they truly racist, or are they just ignorant and confused?
To me racism is more than just ignorance and disliking a certain group because of your social upbringing, its a real hatred towards all others because of the color of thier skin.
I also found PC people in Uni to be more racist in that they would try to tell you how to speak or act towards a friend and yet you never saw them with thier own friends. |
