Does anyone have a recommendation for a good gel for curly hair that's not super expensive? All the hair essences and other Korean products I've tried don't really work for my really curly hair. Help!

Honestly, I've given up on Korean brands . Now I just buy the be curly cream from Aveda. It's only 36,000 an lasts for ages (I only use a tiny bit.)

I looked at that but the bottle was tiny. I feel like it wouldn't last me a month. Any other suggestions?

Ahh, you must mean be thinking of a different product. The be curly tube is quite large (200ml) and lasts me anywhere from 6 to 8 months.

I use it along with some products from USA/Canada that can't be bought here. Never had much luck with the Korean products.

a lot of the process is trial and error. i get my stuff at the hairdressing section of namdaemun market.

if you go to Hoehyeon station leave from Exit 5. turn right and you will be walking for about 5 minutes. you pass the arch of the underground american market on your right. it has steps leading down, with a green arch. keep going, and it's your next left. i think there is a ginseng store on the corner. turn down the "street" and you will pass some stores selling import candy and other goods. opposite this, on your right, you will see a small store with hair products in the window. this place is not bad, but the entrance next to it, on the right, that goes upstairs, has some great selections. it also has tons of nail stuff. i get my gel and hair wax there. it's only 4-5,000 won each, so you can experiment with what works for you.

i would also suggest getting some shampoo and conditioner in the bottom shop as the stuff from the regular markets is often a hair killer. for 8,000 won it lasts me for about a year or longer.

if you have any problems finding it, go to the information booth, get a map, and have them circle the area for you.

any other questions, just PM me. hope this helps!!!
