I've heard good reports about Footprints and Planet ESL. I dealt with someone from BeMy & Co and they got back to be quickly about a position and sent a few emails the first couple of days to let me know what was required etc. Haven't heard from them for a couple of days, but I assume things would have to be discussed.
Have also been dealing with Planet People, but it seems the woman I'm talking to there wants me to decide on the contract within two days and it's made out to be quite difficult to talk to the other teacher there. I now have to tell her whether I'm positive about the contract or not before I talk to the other teacher. I had to explain why I wanted to talk to here, and then was told she hasn't been there very long anyway and doesn't know much about the school. Said 'she's there and I'm not, so she knows more than me'...I think when things get this difficult it's time to pull the pin and try another school.
Not sure what the big deal is really, they were in a rush a couple of days ago, but now we can wait to talk to the other teacher.
I have a feeling I'm a walking 800,000 won sign, and the contract I was given is very vague anyway so I'll be looking elsewhere. |

are you looking at public school? If so, I`d go with Korvia (Joyce), ESL-Planet or Korea connections. |

I'm currently in the works with Rowan from ESL-Planet and from my experiences so far (which isn't much to be honest) and from everything I've heard about him on these forums, he's a good person. |

Hey! I got my job through a recuriter whose company is called Opportunity Korea Recruitment. They are great. Right now I am at a great school, with great pay and a nice apartment. My recruiter was able to find me and my boyfriend positions at the same school very quickly. Here's the website: http://opportunitykorea.co.kr/
ENjoy! |

I used http://www.teaching-in-korea.com/ and they were pretty great, highly recommended. I applied to a lot of recruiters, but it seemed these ones were the only ones bothered with finding me a position. Respond to emails almost immediately and we spoke on the phone regularly to keep me updated. |

I had a positive experience with Korvia back in summer 2008. They were courteous, truthful and pleasant to deal with. I never felt they were going to scam me or leave me in a precarious position. With Joyce or Ann, you're in good hands. |

canadian connection is very reliable and organized. i tried esl planet, and although rowan was always very nice and responded quickly, he seemed to only have/push private public schools on me. i ended up going with another recruiter. |

I've been working with Footprints to get my spot. Once you get all your paperwork in it was slow going (at least for me) there's nothing you can really do except wait for a school to bite. Once I got interviews going they were very helpful with the processes to follow. If you are a newby they are definitely good but if you are looking for a job to start quickly you're probably better off doing your own applying directly. |
