Ok two questions.
I know city background checks won't work anymore. So I need a state background check for California. I call them but they say due to budget cuts, only an employer can request them. Anyone know where they can get a state background check at?
And where do you get money orders? I did ask at the post office and the bank. Both said they don't issue them. As a person can't use a credit card as the money has to be mailed.
Thanks,

I don't know about the background checks.
But you can get money orders in a number of difference currencies at Korea Exchange Bank. You can also get them at Citibank (though it is much more of a hassle) and Woori Bank will do them in US Dollars only.
KB does not do money orders. Not sure about the other banks. |

| If you are in the US you should be able to get a money order at a grocery store at customer service or at some gas stations. Look for a sign in the window that says Western Union or Moneygram. |

Thanks, I will check out my local store. I am out ina hick town so no citi. I do have a HK bank.
But I need a money order for transcripts.
As for a background check I not sure how people get hem done when they are out of the country. As you need fingerprints, a signed paper and so on. |
