William Peter Blatty.

I read it at the age of ten, because my parents forbade me to read it.

It was a huge mistake.

I cried.

Ten!? You're lucky you weren't scarred for life Very Happy

Speaking of which, I saw a movie starring Patrick Dennehy where he portrayed that serial killer John Wayne Gacy.

Can't remember the name of the movie but I do remember a scene where he dressed up as a clown. Finished me for clowns forever afterwards. To this day I see clowns as sinister, menacing figures Laughing

Ever seen It?

Yep, damn creep fulfils all my stereotypes Wink
And my kids will wonder why I won't let them within 50 feet of Ronald McDonald at kids birthday parties^^
All jokes aside though am I really the only one that finds the Ronald McDonald clown creepy? That dude ain't right ^^

It scared me so bad that I blocked it out of my mind and can't actually recall what happens in the movie.

The Korean movie about the two sisters and one's a ghost scared the crap out of me for one week straight. I couldn't sleep without the lights on. kkk

Has anyone seen that fairly recent Spanish film called 'The Orphanage' (El Orfunato' I think is what it's called originally, but I could be wrong) It was not so much scary, but definitely creepy, and the end is just soul-destroyingly sad...highly recommended.

To the other poster who was also scarred by 'The Peanut Butter Solution' as a child, I too have had a hard time finding people who have seen it. I think it must have been an obscure Canadian film.....I don't think it was very widely viewed. But for those of us that DID see it.......*shudder*
