Since the Gangnam office of Education took away the housing but just provided monthly money was wondering what it would be like to work for them. Has anyone had any experience working for them?

I work for the gangnam board. Though I've only been here for a couple months, I have to say that they are pretty good to work for. That was a unfortunate situation, but all in all, I would say its still probably one of the best jobs out there. its far better than EPIK, GEPIK, SMOE and definately better than the vast majority of hagwons. I say go for it if you get the offer

Not actually offered or applying (work for a University) just saw the add on this site looking through the jobs section. Just curious if people are happy there and whether a lot people left because of the change of policy on housing.

Elementary's pretty sweet as well....
I teach 19 hours a week and finish at 12.10 at the latest every day. I also do the after school programme so that brings in an extra million a month. Added to that we now get 900k for rent (which equates to a 300k payrise as I already had my own place).
Life's good with Gangnam!
Very Happy

I really did.....they're going to have to drag me from this school kicking and screaming.
Another plus for Gangnam is the holidays - 6 weeks in the contract but works out around 7 and a half in all usually.

there is no high school district camps. Throw in the scores of days that classes are canceled due to students taking exams/tests.
