We should hold a wake for him. Would anyone be down for that?

Terrible news. Never met him in person, but he had a great wit on these boards and was one of the most knowledgable people here. RIP.

That said, in the 5 years I've been here several foreigners just who I know of in Daegu have been seriously injured and one killed in motorcycle accidents. If you have a bike, get rid of it. It's not worth the risk.

He'd probably love that idea. Have a vodka tonic in his honour.

This is terribly sad news. I never skipped over his posts as his ideas, not to mention they way he delivered them, were actually worth pondering.

My condolences to his family and those who knew him,
Ryan

That's terrible!

No, the post I made couldn't have been him, as those were both delivery bikes.

I always wondered who that guy was, and what he did here, exactly. Something in construction?

Sad.

Yeah, I just returned the plates from my bike to the Gu office. I have a daughter now, it's not worth the risk. Then I read about this nice guy's misfortune and think I did the right thing.

So--what songs does Jongnoguru want us to play, in thinking of him?
I've no idea. But when my friends die, I usually play this one:

Maybe he wasn't a drunk, an Irishman, or a Pogues fan--or maybe he was a bit of all three. In any case, poor Jongnoguru, here's to you, wherever you might be.
It's no, nay, never; no nay never, no more--will you play the Wild Rover. No, never...no more.
