Seriously. It got cold last week (below freezing if I'm not mistaken). Why on earth am I still being bit?

I recently have been having this problem as well. Each day for the past week, I have killed at least one mosquito in my apartment...I explained this to a Canadian co-worker who mentioned that he had just read an article about a hybrid/newbread of Japanese mosquitoes that are no longer killed by the cold (well, not killed as easily) and they have managed to make their way over to Canada. I figure if these new pests can make it all the way to Canada, Ottawa mind you, then making it to Korea seams inevitable...I believe the scientific name of this species is called aedes japonicus.

Go to Emart and buy the (green color - blue color doesn't work) little electric plug in canister of liquid. Leave it plugged into the electric outlet for three days turned on. It'll kill all of them. You need one for each room in your house. The more the better. The longer lasting ones will go for 70 days. Or just buy yourself a net and drape it over your bed.

I swear I had no problems all summer, but suddenly starting Saturday every mosquito decides to attack me. I think I have about 10 bites. Stupid gits.

Apparently, I'm delicious to mosquito's. I just seem to attract the little buggers no matter where in the world I am or what time of the year it is.

Could this be another side effect of global climate change? Yesterday it was warm enough for me to run around town in shorts and flip flops, so it must have been warm enough to keep some of the stronger pests alive.

I seem to do okay with the "F Killer" spray. Before I leave for work of a morning, I hose down my windows and around the door. As well as the walls, under my bed, and behind the closet or fridge. This seems to keep them away for a few days.

It's frustrating, yes. But still, one of the most satisfying feelings ever is to feel you've been bitten recently, find that fat little git resting on the wall and smash her to oblivion... leaving her bloody corps strung from your hand to the wall. Ah, relief.

Ughh I agree! These suckers are so much more crafty than the American and Canadian variety. I spent close to 15 minutes the other night hunting one down and when I finally killed it splattered blood all over my desk, but totally worth it. I did a shot of soju to celebrate.

I am not sure if it works, but it seems to. I downloaded some software that emits a high frequency sound that we humans can't detect, but it appearently keeps the mosquitoes away. If it even works a little bit it's worth it.

All that being said Bring On the Cold!

It works much faster than the plug in liquid canister devices and it usually only takes about 10 minutes work. I bought mine from a drug store in Itaewon.

I want to know why these things insist on feeding upon me every chance they get, but leave my wife completely alone. Maybe I can find a spray they are attracted to and spray it on her pillow I'm desperate so I'll try anything!!
