I haven't had time to go through the whole series, but so far I'm quite impressed with the way these were done.

I will be moving to Korea next month and have been watching these videos to learn the alphabet and other basics. It's the best I've found so far. Are there any other good videos?

There are 3 different series of "let's Speak Korean", maybe even 4.

This is the best one for beginners -

This one is good also, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsxIvhuzLbs

This one is better if you're already aquainted with the basics;

Then there are other on-line resources:

http://korean.sogang.ac.kr

There are others, but those should get you started.

Good luck.

Great video for the learning impaired. I got it the first time, didn't need to hear it the tenth time.

So if your really really slow, go for it.

So is that part of your teaching methodology?

Perhaps these are more up your alley?

thanks , good stuff. Teachers need more of this, especially newer teachers.

CLEAR, the U. of Mich.'s Centre for Lang. Education and Research is a site I've used a lot for web based learning applications. However, their Viewpoint section offers what I consider the best selection of authentic videos for learning Korean. http://clear.msu.edu/viewpoint/ourvideos.php?txtTitle=&selLanguage=4&pageID=1

I've made a nice page of further links to where you can learn Korean around the net on EFL Classroom for new teachers who'll wander in.
