This has come up a lot -
What is the name of that book on teaching Asian children English. It has been mentioned numerous times by people as the best book to read on the matter of teaching ESL in Korea and improving your teaching.
Could someone point me to the thread or give me the name of the author? Thanks.
ps. mods, feel free to delete this once I find the answer or get pointed to the thread. |

It's bloody hard to track down in Korea, though. Recently I've tried Kyobo in Gwanghwamun and Gangnam, Yongpoong and English in Jonggak and also Bandi & Lunis in the COEX - out of stock each time. |

I saw it recently at the Seohyeon bookstore in Bundang. Didn't know it was popular; the title seemed a tad weird, and that's why I remember seeing it.

Thats funny. I thought it would be easy to find. Ulsan isn't a very big city with only a few english book stores, but both stores that I know about have it. YOu can probably special order it if you ask your local books store. |

OK, I'm not having any luck finding this book. Amazon nor on stupid chapters.indigo (which I hate - but thats neither here nor there). Does anyone have another book to suggest thats widely available? Or does anyone have a lead in Busan? I only know of one big english bookstore in Busan - but I could always read it in Korea. Just wanted to pick it up before leaving this time and be a little more prepared this contract.
"Teaching Children in Asia" by David Paul, Published Longman Press - I have the name right? He is the englsih guy who works in ESL in Hiroshima. |

"Teaching English to Children in Asia" ...? Sounds like a strange title. So someone out there is an expert on how to teach any child in this vast continent with numerous countires? Anyway, maybe it is a good book, I don't know. Just felt like criticizing the title |

you had the title wrong. Its teaching English to Children in Asia.
and jajude it is a good book.
there are plenty of books out there
one i read was called Teaching English by Jeremy Harmer.
Longman Press has a series of books called Keys to teaching English(?).
Just take a look through your local book store and see what they have. Look at the chapters in the book and if it has what you are looking for buy it. |
