Americans can not engage in sexual activity anywhere with females that are younger than 18. In or out of the USA.

In most States the age of consent is 16.

True, but there was a federal law passed that allows Americans to be prosecuted in the US for having sex with minors abroad - and this law lists 18 as the age of consent for Americans abroad.

thats because the guy knows he is sick! he knows what he is doing is bad.. deep down somewhere in him he knows its wrong.. but I guess he has some sick twisted fetish which he can't control!

I saw an interview with a serial killer.. and he admitted to knowning he is sick! and said.. I belong in jail.. if I am not in jail I will kill children!
something inside tells me that I must kill them I prefer young virgins... I know its wrong so I am glad I am caught and can be taken off the streets..... Shocked

there are organizations in the world who kidnap children, kidnap young teenagers, boys and girls.. for slave labor and sex! bought and sold for a price of a carton of cigarettes.. its REAL! it happens... do those people care?? no .. they don't give a chit.. It's a business...
the world is a messed up place...
many are out for what they can get and don't really give a chit about others... they can sleep at night...

How can you argue with God? Remember, he makes no mistakes! When a young lady begins mensutration, she is of age to have children, otherwise God would change the way it works.

And, for the record, two of my aunts married at 14 and went on to have very successful, long (50+ year) marriages.

Of course, having sex with children is wrong (though that is just my opinion, based on my own beliefs and morals).

All this labelling grown teenagers as children is very recent. Biologically they are adults. Parents, teachers and government officials just want to prolong their control over "children."

When and where I grew up in Canada, there were several married couples from my father's generation that had married when they were between 14-17. They had successful, decent families. It was even more common in my grandfather's generation.

And the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, the authority for psychiatric disorders, says the term 'pedophilia' only applies when the children involved are prepubescent.

Frankly speaking from a purely logical point of view,

Biologically yes, there is nothing wrong with being with a younger girl. Biologically we are made to mate at much younger ages. It's our design.

However, from a social point of view, the reason we say 18 is because of the maturity of the children in question. Their biological drives want them to have relations, but in modern day era it creates too many financial problems, relationship problems, and it just doesn't fit with societies current mold. We live to much longer ages and having a child at such a young age is seen as a "waste of youth"

And in the past prepubescent was around 14 or under. These days, because of what they pump into foods, it's like 9 or 10. However, I think 16-18 is a perfectly appropriate age to have the cut-off, since that's the age that most countries strive to give basic education to their population.
