my friend taught for a year, then returned to the US for a month. Now he wants to come back. Does he have to have another consulate interview? What about criminal record check?

So how does one obtain the visa in this case? Mail the passport to the nearest consulate? Stop in Japan on the way back to Korea? |

Either one is fine. Once you have the visa issuance number you can receive the visa at any Korean consulate throughout the world. I don't remember how long I had to wait in the U.S., but in Japan you can turn over your passport one day and then get it back the next. |
