I don't like motorbikes. Of any basic kind. I do like some scooters (but that doesn't count for the present discussion). The only motorbike I have ever thought was at all nice was the one in the Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man movie.

Until now.

The new GV650 by Hyosung is so nice I feel like substituting my planned scooter upgrade with the GV. It looks great, doesn't it?

I must resist the temptation. I just tell myself it'll be smaller than I think it'd be, like many other Korean motorbikes, lower to the ground, with skimpy tires.

Personally I think it's mad, as in crazy, to buy a new bike. Like buying a new car.

I've got two bikes, a 750 and a 125 enduro style. The enduro is WAY more fun, safe getting to work and back. Uses less gas. With the big bike for getting out on long, highway trips. Both are used bikes.

Buying a NEW bike because it looks good?

A used/old big bike. Bikes last a long time; they're classics. One guy said to me they're just made well. Cars are made to be disposable. Once the chassis rusts out, gets dented....get a new car.

But you're right it looks good. I think that's the point of your post. Like the designer has been watching alot of science fiction. Looks like it's moving standing still.

It's going to get even better next year when they come out with the 1000cc version.

Like all Hyosungs it looks like a cheap peice of crap.

I can see how to the eye of someone not into bikes how this might look like a Vintage or a Harley. But to someone who is into bikes it's like putting a Sonata next to a Jag XJS and saying they look simmilar....

It looks OK, just not my style.

Being a Hyosung doesn't help it, as I'm sure the luster would wear off pretty fast.

The reviews of this bike from European websites are good. However, the bike is so new, there's no way to tell how it will last. The talk on the street is that these bikes are hit and miss. It may run great for years, or it may have parts that crap out after a year or two.

I'm considering one of these due to the fact that the Japanese bikes are so expensive to buy and maintain in Korea.

And Jack the Cat, you are probably gone off this board, but where did you ever hear about a 1,000cc version?
