There are a few good ones, but the problem which I have encountered
is that most are inundated by ultra-sensitive over-seas Koreans, ultra-nationalist (domestic) Koreans, or angry expats who feel the need to trash Korea and Koreans in the "Comments" sections. Unfortunately, this tends to limit the length and breadth of many discussions. I prefer discussion boards with intelligent individuals
who owe allegiance to no cause besides that of reason and rational
discourse. This is difficult to find at times.
Therefore, I too would love to hear a few suggestions.

I liked that "Korean Food Crime" one. Funny. But my favorite is "An Idiot in Korea". I'm still trying to figure out WHY I like it the best. It's...unpretentious? |

I haven't really been reading blogs since I've been here.
I looked at a few before coming to get an idea what life was like for ESL teachers here, but haven't been back.
Some of these do look interesting so I suppose I'll see whats out there. |

I'd really like a list of English Teachers in Korea on Twitter.
I'd like to set up a hashtag for us and Foreigners in Korea in general. |

Some more gold from An Idiot's tale
Quote: |
Yesterday, my wife worked until 7 p.m.
When she had finished, I said, "What are you cooking for dinner?"
She said, "We have da lice and spicy chicken." |
and
Quote: |
"You hair disgusting. You must get da haircut. You rook tellible. Then we can eat da food. I no want to cook today." |
I have a somewhat simple sense of humour at times. Everytime I read a post where he writes his wife's speach like this I literally laugh so much I want to pee myself and it hurts my stomach. I guess it goes back to when I'd help my Mum on her Avon round and we'd take the mickey out of foregn people's accents after visiting their houses. Ah those were the days.... |
