Haha, that actually did not cross my mind at the time. I could have wrote lamb meat skewers but I wrote in yang rou cuan/r. So I guess I just decided to write Japanese in pinyin as well. Well, the cat is now out of the bag.

I am Chinese. The term ABC, many people around me use it as American boy Chinese. Don't ask me why but I guess its American born Chinese. Yes, it could be a derogatory just like Chinese Americans call Chinese immigrants "FOBs" (fresh off the boat).

I was born and raised in NYC. My family is Singaporean. You guys should see the look on many Korean faces when I tell them, "My hometown is in NYC and family is from Singapore". They immediately associate me with money.

I speak Hainan. I think it is the third largest Chinese dialect in China (there are more than 50 dialects). I know it sucks for me because business is in Mandarin. I understand Cantonese quite well and can say a few words. Mandarin is a bit tough because I was never around Mandarin speakers.

BTW, to the Chinese living in Korea, thanks for the heads up with Chinese restaurants. I will definitely be checking them out.
