So Fox news is crap - what else is new?

More false left/right wing paradigm nonsense. Obama uses the mainstream liberal news to voice his propaganda just as Bush used Fox. They're all liars. |

Point out MSNBC intentionally distorting facts to support its viewpoint and we'll agree. Some organisations believe news is news.
Obama may spout propaganda for the media - Fox creates it!
Also, Fox is the mainstream - it's the most watched network! |

You're trying to underplay the significance of this Mises - well done. The fact is Fox gets the highest viewership in the U.S.. But, they intentionally distort real news for the purposes of their corporatist propaganda. Doesn't this worry you?
The largest viewship in Britain is held by the BBC - they produce some of the most unbaised news in the world. What affect does this have on each society? |

People in the European Union have a higher standard of living - I'm quite happy to remain a citizen. |

Good. We are all very happy for you. Boxes of hero cookies are on the way. Shall I address them to Wonderland Hakwon in Suwon or to Champel in Geneva? |

Don't be hatin' the truth Mises. I'm sorry for Americans. A huge majority have a worse life than they should have. The corporatist propaganda (dressed up as populism) sponsored by Fox news has created huge ignorance and consequently inequality.
I love the landscape but America has got a few decades and a few Obamas before it catches up to the civilised world.
(b.t.w. I work for EPIK, I earn well above the world average wage, I'm learning TEFL, I'm happy... spew elsewhere) |

What the hell do you know? What you know is how life in the US is depicted through the BBC and MSNBC et al. You understand that they have a bias, right? Really dude. Get a grip. To blame structural problems that preexist Fox News on FN is just stupid. Do you know that?
EPIK! Wowzers! Above the world average wage! Incredible. Oh, but the Indians are coming...

I know there are millions of people in the U.S. without long-term healthcare.
I know thousands of people got left in New Orleans for days before they were rescued.
I know that the U.S. has more prisoners than any other country in the world.
I know that the U.S. punishes minor drug offences more harshly than the UK; in fact, a neighbour of ours believes pot should be legal - the U.S. does not.
I know a politicized Supreme Court decided the 2000 election and chose in favour of their party - I know this doesn't happen in England.
I know income taxes are higher in the UK and that possibly inequality is less.
I know the UK has a minimum wage well above that of the U.S.
I know the UK has a public news service that is better than anything the U.S. produces.

I know I'm in the top 10% of the world's population. Consequently, I have nothing to complain about, I know I'm lucky. |

We have a Michael Moore fan-girl on our hands... That looks like something you just copied and pasted from one of his letters.
I'm not one to bash other countries - I like the UK - but you are totally clueless about America. Most Americans make more money than Brits do, and enjoy a higher standard of living. Your MM spin doesn't change this. |

You make more money - maybe - and you can afford the new Foreman grill... but then you can't afford healthcare... :(
Care to point me to a source for your quality of life? I will guarantee I can provide a source for Europe having a better quality of life. |
