How powerful are the motors in both of those blenders (the Korean and American ones)? I could be very interested in one of those if one is powerful enough to grind ice.

I did some research and found a review from a customer who used the Hamilton for making drinks with ice.

"Crushing Ice

This thing loves to chew up ice. One very important note: DO NOT USE YOUR BLENDER TO CRUSH ICE WITHOUT A LIQUID ADDED TO IT. Trying to use the blender as an ice crusher will potentially damage the blades, the blender and can be dangerous. This is written in the manufactures warnings and this is the way I ruined my first blender.

I have found the easiest way to crush Ice for drinks is to add the liquid ingredients for your drink first and then add the ice. I start out on slow speed and gradually increase the speed until the mixture is complete. If the blender gets clogged up I unplug it and use a utensil to move the ice around before I try to restart it. It is very important to not try to unclog the blender with the blender still plugged in."

The other blender couldn't get any information on. For the Hamilton I also got some more details: 44 oz. plastic jar, powerful motor with stainless steel blade, 7 speeds with pulse option, removable 2 oz. measuring filler cap easy-clean buttons and base, 350 Watts, 120V/AC.

Let me know if you are still interested.

Only 350W? If you find out the wattage on the other blender, please post it. I was hoping for 500W or better.

I'd be guessing that the other is probably the same. I reckon your best bet is to pass on them and keep looking. I'm sure one with more power will pop up on here soon.
