| Can my Korean spouse obtain an international drivers license while in America? Or does it need to be gotten in Korea? |

| Depends. If she has a Korean drivers license, then she needs to get it in Korea. If she has one from America, then she needs to get it in America. |

Also keep in mind that you usually (or maybe always?) can't use the International License in the country where you actually got it.
Not that you should ever need to because you would need to have a domestic license of that country to get the international one. However, I know some people who have thought about using their international license in their home country to avoid getting penalty points on their "real" license. That trick doesn't work unless it's an international license from elsewhere.

| I'm pretty sure america recognises korean licences, so she can most likely drive on that, but she might have to get a swap in america. I did this procedure with mine here in korea and now have a korean licence. |
