If you want to teach English in Korea there are wonderful opportunities, especially at the University and College levels. EPIK also offers decent jobs.
During my 5 1/2 years in Korea, I taught at 5 schools and most of them were great.
Unfortunately one was hell. That was Ahil English School in Nammok, Ulsan. I was short paid. Teachers were played off against each other. The classrooms were dark, dirty and crowded. They were not set up for conversation English. There was not the great rapport between Native and Korean teachers that I saw at the other schools.
Korean teachers determined which books I would use and chose totally inadequate simple ones that were not suitable to the students.
Foreign teachers walked out and were not replaced for weeks at a time.
Shortly after I began working there, I was denied access to medical care. I lived upstairs from the school. Everyone could see me getting very sick, very quickly. They were letting me die on the premises. Once I did get to the hospital, I was fired without communication, warning or notice. Ahil's owner, my guarantor never spoke to me or my doctor. The owner of another school, Megaton, checked me out of the hospital. I was brutally evicted as soon as I reported for work. Many Koreans helped me through my recovery. They were embarassed by the ruthless behavior of Ahil's owner.
This school is recommended by teachers turned recruiters. Beware.
If you want to teach at hagwons, stick to established chains. I would not recommend Ahil.

It would be appropriate.
Also, I lived upstairs from the school and, as far as I know, the School owned the building. The president did not pay out much for my accommodation.
