I'm having family come in December from around the New Orleans airport area. The cheapest fares I've found was about $1300 each. Anyone know any cheaper fares?

I traveled recently and the cheapest fares I found without half a dozen transfers were Cathay Pacific. They are consistently 25% cheaper than the other major airlines, but still of a comparable standard.
If time is not a concern you might consider delaying your family's travel though, December is generally the most expensive time to do it.

Thanks! I'll check them out.

Hope they provide a service to somewhere near Louisiana. Good luck to you.
One thing I forgot to say was that with Cathay Pacific you will always have one transfer of approx. 3 hours in HongKong, but for 25% less I didn't mind that at all.

another thing to look into is buying a round trip ticket from say new orleans to seattle/san francisco/la and then a separate round trip ticket from that city to seoul. sometimes it ends up being cheaper. but you would probably want to fly on different days to make sure you made all the flights, in case one gets delayed.
