|
|
What equipment would I need to play downloaded roms on a Nintendo DS? Could I buy this equipment easily in Korea, especially at Technomart? How much could I expect to have to spend on it?
Thanks very much in advance; I'd research it myself, but I'm going to be in class for the next two hours and will be heading to Seoul for the weekend shortly after, and was hoping to make my purchases while there, so I don't have much time. |

Buy an R4 card. That's all you need. Oh, and a mini sd card for memory. The R4 comes with the usb connector, so that's easy. There's others like the TT, but I don't know anything about them. |

Im not sure about TechnoMart, but you can buy R4 kits an Yonsan. A simple "nds rom" search and you will find tons of games. Just download the .nds file and paste onto the micro sd. |

I bought my kit for 180,000 last year in Yonsan. It included a nintendo ds, accessory kit and a R4 kit with 40 games (2GB SD card) So my guess it theyre cheaper now. |

Yeah, It's really simple here. Just go to the gaming dungeon in Yongsan.
I'd suggest getting an EDGE or DSTT card, I haven't been looking into the R4HC - Don't get the regular R4, it's pretty much dead for firmware updates, and can't handle high capacity micro-SD cards.
I also like to use the program Rominator to keep track of all my roms. It's kind of like iTunes for nds roms.
check out gbatemp.net for more info. |

Go to dealextreme.com they are based in Hong Kong with Free shipping worldwide. I just ordered a card for the DSI, looking at the forum seems like a reliable company. I paid $12.97US for the card, here's a link to the card.

Can't beat Yongsan for immediate gaming needs, but I've had good luck with dealextreme.com too. It's cheap and the stuff works. That is, if you can wait two weeks to get it.
Definitely stay away from the standard R4. I know some Yongsan vendors were still shoveling them on unsuspecting customers as of September. DSTT, even the fake ones, seem to be easy enough to use. |
