If we can get a few people I think it would be cool to start a book club where we meet on Sundays and just discuss a book that we read the prior week. We can agree on the book beforehand and then order from whatthebook or a couple other websites. Just looking for something different then clubbing every weekend. Anyone else interested?

there are a couple book clubs on facebook. maybe search "book club" on the fb website? offhand i know there's one that meets in gangnam, one called "jamsil book club" or something along those lines, and the bro&sis group meets once a month in various locations in seoul.

I definitely interested in finding a quality book club. Shoot me a line if you find one in Seoul. I live near Seoul National University.

That's four right now. Would you guys rather start our own or look for one that's already set up? Looks like that Bookleaves club travels a bit, but I think I would rather have it pretty much in central Seoul (Itaewon, Gangnam, etc.) so it's easily accessible to most everyone.

I'm looking for a job in Seoul and may be there in the next month or two. I'm interested if you start a book club. I found one in Seoul on meetup.com but it looked like they were following the Oprah book club selections which doesn't really interest me. Do you know what types of books you are planning to focus on?

I think we could start our own. Book clubs don't have to have a large membership, just a few people discussing a book they've all read. I would also like to keep it central Seoul, Itaewon would be ideal, but I can pretty much go anywhere in Seoul. I'd also like to stay away from Oprah's book club selections.
Maybe we can arrange a meetup sometime in the next two weeks to discuss what kinds of books to focus on and to pick a first book?

Pangaea- Three teachers are leaving my school early next year, mid- Feb and late Feb. It's a good school to work for. If you're interested, you can contact me at [email protected]

I'm interested, too. No specifics needed, but what *kind* of books is everyone interested in? People have shot down Oprah's selections, which is fine with me, but what did they have in mind?

Sorry everyone, been sick lately. If everyone is still open for a Sunday meetup then let's do it this Sunday. How about Kyobo Bookstore at Gwangwhamun Plaza in Jongno?
