Hi there!

I arrived in Yangsan (the one near Busan, not Yongsan nr Seoul...to prevent any misunderstandings!) about 2 weeks ago, and tho I've seen some of you waygooks around, haven't managed to speak to any of you yet... Was wondering if you hang out anywhere in particular..or basically if you'd be my friend!!

I can't pm anyone coz I haven't made 25 posts, but I'd appreciate any contact!!

thanks!

OP,
I am moving to Jangsan (at the VERY opposite end of your subway line, haha) at the end of December and would definitely love to hang out. I can't PM quite yet, but when I can I will send you my e-mail!

Dear oh Dear, I'm sorry to cause such confusion. I thought it was a bit weird that there'd been 300 views of the post, but only 8 answers to it!!

To clarify; Ho in Yongsan=No, I'm not.
New teacher in Yangsan=Yes, I am. Smile

Laughing just goes to show, there can be miscommunication btwn people who have the same first language!

Anyhoo, I was hoping to get a reply from some of the people who replied kindly to a previous post very similar to mine (but, apparently, without the solicitation connotations!). Thanks for your advice, hellofaniceguy, I will approach the next waygook I see!! I'm not suffering too much from culture shock, as I lived here for a year a few years ago, and time has mellowed me!

Cry BabyWipes, if your towel post is a troll then it proves what an idiot you are.
If it's real, it proves what an idiot you are.

He is referring to another thread about a rather unfortunate legal problem for a teacher who wielded a gilded towel rather irresponsibly.

But your initial assessment holds true: he generally is an idiot and a troll.

And if it makes any difference, those of us who are not wholly morally deficient do not automatically associate "girl" with a lady of comfort.

I wish you the best of luck in your new home Smile

Hi reveuse261, you're actually one of the address's I've got written down who responded to the older thread...It's going pretty well actually Very Happy I've got a sweet apartment, and pretty good schedule. I'm at Yangju elem. school. How about you? I was just wondering if there's anywhere the rest of the foreign population of Yangsan meet on a Friday night to unwind?

i'm at jungang middle school. one of my co-teachers does a korean class for the foreigners. meeting at 5:30 tonight if you can make it. when it was warmer, foreigners usually met at the convenience store around emart. tomorrow some of us get together for some food and a crappy movie. sometimes facebook makes me cringe with its gayness, but it's a good way to keep in touch. most of us are in the yangsan group.
