| Yep, I'm craving some tacos and I want to make them. I already have the soft shells from Costco. Anyone know where I can buy the hard shells? |

I'm not sure about Costco, I haven't been there in years, but the item on the link is an "NC" item..which means.."Not Costco" |

you can buy the soft burrito size shells in costco. 12,000 i think for 40. they are in the frozen section. they stay frozen well.
i've seen the old el paso hard shells in packs of 12 i think for about 5000 in itaewon in the street opposite geckos where the kebab shop is. in a shop on the right with 2 freezers out front |

Don't buy anything from Haddon House...they buy everything at Costco or on the Army base and then mark it up %200. Try the international market on the hill for flavored flour tortillas...sometimes they even have frozen corn tortillas.
The pre-fried El Paso shells you can buy here are usually stale as hell or broken....just not worth it. Dandy Grocer or the place next to usually have them too.
Haddon House is nice because they sometimes have a lot of stuff for European cooking...but it always costs an arm and a leg. |

If:
1. You can find soft corn tortillas
2. You have an oven
Make your own by hanging them over the rack in an oven after lightly oiling them (spray kind is best) and then adding fresh sea salt and cumin powder from the foreign market. Home made are so darn crunchy and light they are a bit hard to work with but worth it.
Tonight I make crispy fish tacos and you can't have none! |
