|
|
Hey guys, I fly out in about 6 weeks. Im wondering what kind of cigarettes they have in Suwon, or in South Korea in general. Do they have Canadian cigarettes anywhere? Ive heard they have Marlboros, which i still do not enjoy.
If they don't then I will probably give up smoking when I get there.
After all, I cant smell like cigarettes around my students.
Thanks

They have most western brands and even if your brand doesnt exist here, you'll smoke a lot more. 2 dollar packs and being allowed to smoke everywhere... |

canadian smokes?! ha. i'd step over my mother for a pack of du maurier lights. the way belmont milds are trades you'd think we were all in prison.
and if/when you do get your hands on a cdn smoke--- toss it to a korean. even the most seasoned korean smokers go green in the face and hack a lung. cdn gritts have double tar and nicotine. pretty disgusting. but whast that poster said above is bang-on. i barely smoked back home and here its getting pretty out of hand. |

You won't find any Canadian cigarettes here.
Best to try to quit before you come over.
As the other posters have said, at $2.00 a pack it's easy to smoke way more than you did back home especially if you get into the party scene here.
I wish I had quit before I came over. Way more hooked now than ever before. |

The real question here - Do they have menthol? If they don't, probably for the best, I can't smoke regular cigs. |

Lots of different brands in varying strengths and almost all of them have at least one menthol pack. You're golden. |

You can get Marlboro Menthol here. They have some Western brands, but no Canadian. However, the American brands you get here are a different formula than the ones you buy back in the states (much less tar and nicotine here in Korea). Marlboros, P-Funks, are definitely common, but a lot of Western brands aren't available here. Korean brands are very popular with the locals, but most Westerners I've met don't like them/ |

You can't. They don't exist in this country. I miss Du Maurier. |

Can I get Chinese cigarettes in Canada? What about South African cigs in Australia. Dude you coming to another country the cigs you are going to get are going to be Korean.
Anything you really want from back home is going to be hard to get in Korea. You like a certain soda sorry all your going to get is mostly Coke. or Chilsung Cider. You like a certain beer hope you learn to like Cass.
Korea is NOT Canada or the States. |

I don't understand what the problem with asking if one can get Canadian cigarettes here is. Does it offend you that one might want to smoke a familiar cigarettes? Do you only buy Korean products? Have you ever had a foreign beer while in Korea? Lighten up. |

Canadian smokes are 66 bucks a carton in the dutyfree . Price will soon make you forget those canadian smokes. I have yet to see canadian smokes in another country in 17 years of travelling and I have never missed them for a second. |

Are there Lucky Strikes filtered? They stopped selling lucky strikes everywhere in the USA except Lucky Strike unfiltered, which pretty nobody smokes. On the contrary, when Lucky Strike filtered where around and lucky lights, they were almost everyone I know that smokes favorite cigs. |
