i had a really bad experience dealing with them, nightmare. tried to order stuff for my GF, it was a big headache to get it here, they lost the address, told korea fedex to destroy the package, long story short, it got delivered after calling fedex 5 times here and asking were the package was, theyh found it, VS never found out it was delivered, refunded me double what they should have as it was "lost" in the mail even though it had a tracking number, then the stuff didnt even fit her, even after I called them in the US and asked what her size would be, she's from europe...told them her european size, and they told me the US size, they were way off, wasnt happy at all since her bday present didnt fit her...sort of hard to send it back especailly since they refunded me double. they arent that bright there, and the VS here could be "koreaized" anyways, never know...

Come on now-

It is not the young girls that are going to be buying from Victoria Secrets. They have no cash, it is the married women in their late 20's, 30's and 40's.

You guys always go on about how great the young girls are in Korea, but they are nothing compared to the older ones, who are extremely aware of their sexuality and are not willing to hide it. These woman also usually have jobs or have hubbies who fork over their pay cheques to them.

They have the spending power, and also the fact that VS has a credit card will make it all the more tempting to them.

This store will make a killing, just as it does in Japan.

Sad that I'll miss the undie revolution

I've seen C cups in a few shops in Gangnam, and they were suprisingly cute. (Most bras bigger than A seem to be modelled after bridge supports here)

Guys, Victoria's Secret does sell plain cotton panties too- not just crotchless ones. Of course Korean women will shop there.

Just curious.. waste 24.. what size would that be?

Also, found out recently that Korean women don't have a size 24.. and starting thinking about it and the waste and butt are pretty much similar in measurements (moreso than non-northeast Asian countries)..

What?

This makes no sense. Laughing

How can your waist (not waste think of korean students favourite thing...) be the same size as your butt? You would look like a freak.

I can understand, maybe, your hips, being the same size, coz they pretty much are, but not your waist.

24 around the waist.

The Filipina girl (at the party).. was shopping for a 24 waist.. and all the jeans were always minimum 25.. she never found anything smaller than a 25.

It was just strange because most Korean women are quite thin, so can't figure out she could have been one notch smaller.

A 24" waist is pretty small. I don't really know what it is, as I, like the rest of the world, use metric. Maybe she should put some weight on, and then clothes would fit? Lucky girl, most chicks have to do the opposite.

I was talking with my friends a few weeks ago about how korea needed a victoria's secrets store, since we all have to buy underwear etc off the internet!!! I personally think that us foreign girls will keep the store successful, and it doesn't matter how much koreans do or don't buy from there!!! I hope its true, and not just a false rumour!!!! Razz

I read it in the Joong Ang Ilbo's English version, so it's not a vague rumor. I'd post the link, but it was only mentioned in passing in an article, so not much point.

Why do Korean stores use sizes 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35 or whatever it is? (Not metric?)
