The powerpoint presentation that you have, delete all its slides. Then continue to build your own.

You'd be wanting to make an action button. Simply hit slideshow - action buttons - choose button. Draw the button the slide you want. Then right click and set it to open (hyperlink) to where you want in the presentation.

Details here.

Even handier when you know how to use invisible action buttons. Then you click but the students don't know they are there. You click depending on student response and it will magically go to the right place.

As you are probably using ppt in Korean here is the handy shortcut keys.

Make a text box or a draw box or use ddeubel's instructions to insert an action button.

Click on it and press ctrl+k. That brings up the hyperlink menu. Click around in there until you find a list of slide numbers and click on the slide you want it to link to.

I don't have ppt here but I think the first tab on the left in the hyperlink menu is to link to an external file and the second one down links to the other slides in your presentation.

It is really easy to do and you don't have to link it to the next slide but to anywhere in the presentation.

i put the action buttons in no problem. ive been getting quite good with all those and playing around. however, when i put the action button on and i click anywhere on the screen it will still go to the next screen. what im trying to do is make a game we played at home called sqaures where you make boxes. the lines will be quite thin. and what im afraid of is that is that too often i, or my co teacher will click off target and go to the next screen. this is no real problem as we can just go back a page and it will still be as was. but sometimes the computers are kinda slow and when we hit back it doesnt go quickly. so its gets double tapped and then goes back to far. then the game is wiped off. so is there a way i can lock the slide so it only goes on the action buttons. doing what the poster above said i managed to have the whole slide locked in like that. but i would prefer to just lock in certain slides.

Make an action button that covers the whole slide! Then, right click and format. Choose no color/fill and it will be invisible. When you click anywhere on the screen, it will go where you set the action button.... gl.

I don't know of a way to lock the slide but I can think of a way to work around it which might work.

Make a big square box for your background of the slide. Make sure it covers the whole slide. Then hyperlink that box so that it links to the current slide (I am not totally sure that you can do that but you should be able to). That way if you click outside the other boxes it should just stay on the slide. I would be interested to know if this works.

By the way this is also a good way to make invisible hyperlinks so that you can click anywhere on a slide and have it go to a particular slide (rather than having to click on a specific box or picture).
