|
|
Long story, but now I am stranded in Vancouver overnight with my luggage on its way to Incheon airport in Seoul. Air Canada never managed to get my luggage off the plane.
I'm worried that I'm going to have a difficult time finding it once I arrive in Seoul.
Has anyone else ever had an experience like this where they missed a connecting flight and/or their luggage was on the plane without them on it? |

don't worry about it. luggage gets lost, misplaced, redirected etc all the time. there's always a luggage storage / complaint booth in the baggage collection area....simply show them your barcodes and collect.
if you haven't already, walk up to your airline counter and explain the situation....they'll put a note in the computer. |

Yeah, it's not a big problem. If they can't find it right away, they'll deliver it (for free) to your door. This has happened 3 or 4 times to me and I've always gotten it back. |

Is there an Air Canada office at the Incheon airport in Seoul? I don't have my Korean address on my luggage, so I hope I can find the Air Canada office in Incheon to give them an address.
Did you ever have a piece of your luggage in oversized/special luggage? I have one piece of luggage like that so I'm hoping that arrives with everything. |

If there isn't a Air Canada office, you can usually go to the partner alliance office. You can go to the Asiana office if its part of the Star Alliance or the Korean Air office if its part of Skypass.
I'm suprised that the flight took off with your luggage without you on board. Now, they usually delay a flight to remove the luggage if a passenger doesn't make the flight. Last time I caught a connection, in Japan to Seoul, someone didn't show up and the flight was delayed because they had to look for the guys luggage and take it off the plane. Something about new safety regulations. |
