|
|
So i have been trying to find bedding (sheets, comforter, pillow case), that is in a contemporary style. It's been amazingly impossible to find. I've been to major department stores to places on the street...they're all flowers, hot pinks, horrible ivy patterns, etc.
P.S. I tried to buy a bathroom towel set at Lotte Dept. Store but the modern style one was 260,000 WON. You know it's bad when the sales woman says it's "expensive" before she even brings out the calculator...
ANYWAYS, any help in finding bedding would be appreciated. Someone told me a place called 200 Outlet, but i can't find it. I'm in Gangnam area btw. |

Costco? They have some Queen sized flannel sheets for 29,997 won I think. They also have regular Queen sized sheets but they are way too expensive and fruity looking. Also, try Muji at Myeongdong Lotte Young Plaza. They sell Japanese home and bedding stuff. |

Some stuff is cheap in Korea, but this type of stuff ain't it. I'm amazed at the screwing the Korean consumer takes (apparently completely oblivious to prices elsewhere in the world).
I'm currently in the U.S. until next spring. My Korean wife has been shocked at the low prices for most everything here.
Labor costs are cheap in Korea (cheap haircuts, taxis, no tipping, etc.), but goods are by-and-large complete rip-offs. |
