I've got one night at Narita on both ends of a flight from Incheon to Rome. I don't really want to see anything, just a cheap place to crash near the airport. Suggestions? |

if it is through JAL then here's the good news: you get to stay at the airline's nice airport hotel for free! |

If you don't have a fight with JAL and don't want to sleep in the airport itself, Toyoko Inn is probably the cheapest by the airport (about 6,000 yen for a single room, including tax and a mini breakfast. They are a chain with hotels all over Japan They are clean and friendly, and I've used them a lot.

Or there is this place in Narita city:

but then you'd be spending money on a train fare to Narita, which would be 230 yen on the regular train or 750yen on the overpriced express. |

Thanks for the tips. I am flying with JAL, but I checked on the hotel, and apparently because its an award miles ticket they don't provide a hotel. I'll be crabby the next day if I try to sleep in the airport (and therefore not get much sleep). The Tokyo Inn looks like a decent option. I've also read good things online about the Richmond Hotel and it's reasonable, but they don't have an airport shuttle and I'm not sure how easy it would be to navigate the trains.
Checked into a few hostels, but read some creepy reviews and don't really want to spend the night on the floor next to someone I don't know. |
