I am selling my computer as its soon time to leave korea.

I am not tech savvy about computers ect.. this is what i know

Bought the computer last year. I bought a 22' lcd widescreen monitor (came with 3d glasses but never used it) about 2 months ago because my other one was too small. I have the receipt for it because its still under warranty.

I had a friend look at the computer and this is what he found out about it.

Core 2 Duo 2.66 ghz
Asus motherboard
Asus video card 8500 gt 512megs
500 gig hard drive
lg cd/dvd writer
2 gigs of ram
microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard
5.1 speakers
windows vista ultimate (my friend can put on windows 7)
22' lcd monitor w the 3d glasses.

anyway have played all the new games out there like modern warefare 2 and left 4 dead 2 withouth any problems. plays the 720 and 1080p hd movies smoothly.

i will also throw in my external hard drive case.

thats all i can tell u aobut this computer. pm me an offer.

i know you not tech savvy so you probably dont know what your machine is worth. id say 400-450,000 would be a good price including the monitor. a new computer could be built for much cheaper than your asking price with a better video card

i've checked on korea yahoo shopping for systems similar to mine and i found much higher.

but for 450 including the monitor perhaps i'll just take it home with me since it will fit into a large suitcase.. saves me from buying another one when i get home.

What brand is the monitor? Would you be willing to sell it separately with the glasses?

Selling it as a package might not be the best way. There are probably plenty of people who just want the box.

I would say that 300k for the tower would be a fair offer considering the specs.

If you're looking at the 'department store' models then 750,000 would seem to be a good price. If you're looking at what a tech savvy guy could build from Yongsan, or what one could get by getting the guys at Yongsan to build it, then it's rather expensive for a second hand machine.

Better to take it with you if that's an option, or sell it privately.

I'm leaving Korea in 3 days, so I've got no ulterior motives here.

I'd have to agree with OneWayTraffic on this one. I was interested in your computer but not for 750... From what I understand after talking with your friend on the phone about your computer, its got good parts.. none of that china made crap in it, which is a good thing.

Drop your price to 600,000 since u do have a 22' lcd and from the pics it looks like a good one. and even though its only a couple months old your still asking a bit much. then maybe i'll be interested.

since your comparing to retail price im guessing you have a legitimate copy of windows? everyone commenting is not trying to scam you but let you know what your machine is worth.

Pretty decent computer, but for the specs, for someone who isn't so savy but shops around the price is not a bargain.

As others said 600,000 is a reasonable offer. I know I can get a tower alone for about 400,000 with a nvidia 9600 gt. brand new. with monitor it would be about 650,000. Buying second hand should degrade it's value quite a bit but... you can find a buyer for 600k most certainly.

Otherwise pack it in your luggage. Although personally I would think that is more trouble than what it's worth.

I've also heard (but not confirmed) that Korean model hardware isn't fully compatible with western counterparts. I don't know how much BS that potentially is, but it would be something to research before lugging that huge thing with you. You wouldn't want to carry it with you and have the video card fried and need to buy a new one shipped from Korea. Again check up on this. I'm not sure how true this is.

It did have a legit copy of windows xp but it was in korean and i got frustrated with it. as of last year i have windows vista ultimate on it and never had any problems with updates. of course it also has an anti-virus program and some other tools that keep it running smooth.

so like i said 600,000 for the lot.
