They are insane aren't they? The gray one you found is only 38,000! I wonder why there is such a big difference? Maybe they throw in a pack of cigarettes from Canada with the deal.
Regardless, the price I'm selling my cooker for is much lower (only 29,000) and it's like new. |

Expensive ones are llikely to be pressurised cookers. The best rice always needs to be cooked in a pressure cooker.
The cheaper rice cookers are not pressurised and the rice looses a lot of moisture during cooking. My wife won't even cook in our unpressurized rice cooker, but makes all rice in a pressurized rice pan-cooker. |

That's what we got as a wedding gift. I've been putting off using the fancy thing being a bit apprehensive fiddling with all the Korean functions. I'm at a loss with the manual. I found one quick video on YouTube that helped a bit and managed to find a Russian/English manual for Cuckoo pressure cooker.
After doing a few translations with a dictionary, I finally decided to try it out today. I cooked one cup of white rice at the turbo setting (I think) and wow does this thing make a difference! The rice came out shinier and texture, smoother than that of its little, unpressurized sibling. Mind you, you're paying a lot more money for quality. 3~8 times the price depending on the model.
Regardless, the one I'm selling served me well and it does the job. Same company. |

^ so true.
i've had two models. my school bought me a cheap one. maybe less than 30 bucks. Made shitty rice and the bottom was usually burnt or very crispy. i suppose it was the lousy teflon, and lack of pressure. Anyway, I bought an 80,000 W pressurized one with a good seal and a great teflon coating. It is awesome. So do yourself a favor. Spend the cash. Like everything else in this life you get what you pay for. later. |

In other words, don't buy the advertised rice cooker??? It's a good deal, if I needed one I'd buy it. |

I feel that, if we lived closer, the Korean post office may go out of business. Yeah, I'm still using them deodorant schticks, and giving them out as prizes to those students who don't use Konglish in class (none have been awarded as of yet).
We didn't miss any days for work yay! (sarcasm, sorta). Our hagwon is going through some financial times, corporate is threatening us because our turnover rate is so high (at least 1/month, and our managers just can't figure it out...hmmm, I wonder who's to blame...). Sorry to hear you've been missing work, is that why you're selling your food cooker to support your drug habits? Hope you're still eating.
I'll pay whatever you deem is good for shipping, W30,000 or so total since the cheapest rice cooker in my Emart is like W50,000 on sale! Here's my address:
Topia Education
Idea Plaza 6th, 7th Floor, Bojeong-dong 1207-2
Kiheung-gu, Yongin-si, Kyeonggi-do
Seoul, KR. 446-913
Put your bank account info on here publicly so everyone can put money in your account. It's brilliant!

Haha funny! (Although, I do pray no one takes what you said out of context here. Last thing I need is some last minute forced scandal upon me to make another case for the evil english teacher diaries right before I marry next month!)
Will PM you my bank info. Thanks again for your hard earned money, Mr. Fry.
Kind regards. |
