2.3ghz Phenom 2 quad core.
Yeah downloaded ALL of the drivers for windows 7 online.
It works fine. Audio is as good as my Creative labs sound card from
2004. So I have no problem. I can upgrade to a high end quad core
probably next year. Same for the video card. |

Do the computers at ICODA not come with a OS installed for free?
This is whether you build your own or buy a premade made one from the OrangePC line they have.
just wondering, the guy at Icoda told me gotta pay extra for the OS. |

You can choose an OS (for a fee) on the list when you build online.
Or just install your own. |

allright so heres what i might do at Icoda as my budget is a bit less than 800,000WON
core 2 due e7500 2.93ghz
gigabyte mini g31 motherboard
2gb ram
gefore 9600gt
seagate 320gb HD
dvd rom
BIGS case
500W PSU
all this for like 570-587,000WON excluding a OS and monitor
but had some questions
should I got with a 기가바이트 GA-EP31-DS3L V2.1 (G31) [일반/LGA775/DDR2] or the mini? whats the difference?
and should I choose a Seagate or WD HD drive? Ive always heard WD are more reliable.
and finally is 1600x900 or 1680x1050 resolution better for gaming? I always ran games at 1680x1050 before. but the Icoda brand 20inch monitor they are selling does 1600x900
thanks! |

I would recommend a Gigabyte P35 motherboard rather than a P31.
Don't bother with a 320GB HDD......just get a Samsung 1TB for 100,000.....I'm using two at the moment and I can assure you they run cool and quiet. They're fast too. I measured my Samsung 1TB F3 against my WD 640GB and the Samsung was 30% faster.
Get 4GB of PC6400 800mhz RAM and then install 64-bit Windows when you manage to find a copy....
The Geforce 9600GT is pretty feeble......only good for the most easy-to-run games.....I'd recommend taking a step up to the 9800GT or ATI HD 4850.....both are just a little more than a 9600GT.
1680x1050 will look just fine on a 22'' or 24'' monitor. You'll want to play at whatever is the highest resolution your monitor and graphics card will allow.........I'd go for a 24''.....not so much these days.....Then you can set the resolution to 1920x1080.....which looks just great....

Man, there's a 30" 2560x1600 S-IPS monitor at that link called the CROSS 30AP PRO. It's listing for 665,500 won. Has anybody ever heard of that brand/model? It seems way too good to be true. The 30" Dell S-IPS panels (in the US, no less!) sell for $1200-$1400! |

There's a used S-IPS monitor for sale at the 2nd store just inside the left front entrance of the Sunin building in Yongsan. They want 300,000 for it. It's 24". Looks great, but it's an off-brand. I know because I actually bought it and returned it the same day. I got scared because the Korean feedback complaints online were that service never answered their calls. I tried calling service all day, and found it to be true. I returned it out of fear. Sure was a gorgeous picture, though! |
