Hey everyone,
I'm planning on coming to Korea to teach in March. I've done plenty of research, but I can't find whether or not the NHIC covers pre-existing conditions. I have a condition that requires some pretty expensive meds, so I'm wondering if these will be covered.
Anyone in a situation like this? Or know a teacher who is?
This is make or break for me, so thanks for any help. |

Why not list your condition or at least the meds, will probably help find someone in the same boat. |

Not sure anyone will be in the same boat, but I suppose it can't hurt.
I had a kidney transplant in 2006, and the medicine I take prevents my immune system from attacking the new kidney.
They are:
Prograf
Cellcept
Prednisone
This stuff is pretty expensive in the states but it's absolutely necessary. I understand that NHIC covers about 60-70% of prescription costs, but I need to know if they will cover this stuff because my condition is pre-existing. |
