Well, after dabbling around a little with an $8 an hour job, I will apply for an F-2 visa with my wife's help. Have finally convinced her to return as she is having a very difficult time here and wants to now return. The job market is non-existent where I live in Georgia. I have searched for jobs on hi teacher and haven't found anything satisfactory. My wife and I only want to live in Jeju-Do. Anyone know of any good recruiters that deal with that area?

Do the African jobs actually pay you? I looked into some over there and they were all volunteer jobs.

Job market blows everywhere in the good ol' US of A like Kentucker4 stated now and B4. I'm home and it's nill. Call it the dead zone except for those who inherited or went into medical professions. I shouldn't had gone to a depressed rural area of the Midwest, but I have relatives in such a severly lacking place and suffered loss of my brother recently in a house fire though I am looking for a job since I have no one to help me along. I'm looking at coming back to Korea for another ride of my life, but this time, I do need to snag me a gal when I'm fresh off the plane though so I can get a permanent citizen visa such as F-2 and much fun fast paced action out of the good times. Smile

Heck, my wanderlust aims at Thailand, Taiwan or someplace else I have or have not been to B4 where it's too easy to snag a gal, but the pay is so chintzee in most situations. You need a way to save up for flights and unexpected unforseen or not circumstances such as providing for a baby, your new wife, and inlaws. Before I even make it to my apartment, I might be on here typing about how beautiful the babes are and how I'm wondering how I'm going to meet one and how to ultimately score. B4 I even set my luggage down in my new employer provided apartment whom I haven't even met yet. LOL

I did have a few preguntas. Is Bangkok Dangerous? Is Tokyo calling me? Where is the best place for me to go for a job and a date? Does Korea still build TV's like they did back in the days of black and white shows in English such as, Lassie, Green Acres, and Flipper? Is Indonesia actually friendly enough for me to go live in? Is Malaysia the Soul of Asia. Wait, I though Seoul was the soul of Asia. Is economic growth occurring in many parts of Asia with, "Help Wanted," signs actually up on nearly every new ultra modern store in Kuala Lumpur? You wouldn't believe what I recently looked at in KL. Rolling Eyes It brought tears to my eyes, but is just a new copy cat based on making new money from it's newly discovered oil resources. If they still did oil drilling and coal mining back home like in the good ol' days, would we all be actually gainfully employed and prosperous enough to buy a nice house with 2 dogs and a cat, raise a family, take the family on nice vacations, and put kids through college? Wait minute Mr. Jones. Is this a an outdated idea?

Heck, I'm coming back over; Asia is so exciting, because it's happening over there unlike back home where next to nothing is happening and it's boring. And you won't see, "Help wanted," these dayz in the good ol' US of A regardless how much every American wishes upon a star for actual economic prosperity for most anyone willing to work like how it used to be. Part 5 is yet to come...

The old saying, "Follow the money" is truer now than it's ever been too. Solving this problem of self-sufficiency and survival sometimes requires migration.

Kenneth, gotta hand it to you son, your perseverance is stupendous. Stay focused and I'll put odds down that you get there once again. But you're going to need all your wits about you. Very Happy

Here's a tip to beat jet lag this time: Find a night shift second job and get yourself on Korean time before you leave the states. Save that money to get you thru your first month in Jeju.

No, but I've followed your adventures here for a year and a half. I'm pretty sure you're a sincere person and hope for you and your wife the best.

I guess I should have said, "save enough money to get you thru your first month on Jeju with enough set aside for an escape plan." Wink
