Hey man, i'll tell you why it's easy... because the chicks you were meeting are not that objectively attractive. Honestly. I was just like you oh so many years ago, amazed at my ability to get dates left and right... "I'm from New York!" "I don't speak Korean at all, but I sure am awesome at English!" lines that chicks ate up and yes even scoring with some of them came easy as pie. It was an eye-opening experience. But then I realized as time went by that these chicks were not that attractive. Maybe more attractive than the obese=curvy mentality women back home but that's not really saying much. No, the really attractive ones you will not be meeting and dating in 3.5 weeks with limited to no Korean skills. The girls you are meeting are what native korean guys would consider aveage at best. That's why these girls don't have a boyfriend and are desperate enough to meet you. You are merely a passing curiosity that they would drop at an instant should a more attractive foreigner or marriageable Korean come by.

If that floats your boat than more power to you, but don't go bragging about it because it comes off as hilarious. You judge native korean men to have no game or as not being attractive. Trust me, all those guys were not jealous when they saw you holding hands with some korean girl you find easy, they really don't give two s**ts about your plain-jane chick and they certainly don't give two s**ts about you brah! They do not see you as a competitor b/c you are not even in the same league!

Wild guess - Korean American right?

While exercise_in_futility does sound really bitter, I think he is actually correct. Western and Eastern concepts of beauty are very different. Some of the Korean girls that foreigners consider to be hot are considered to be plain, or even unattractive, by Korean men. The inverse is true, too. For example, some of the western girls on Misuda are only moderately cute or even quite plain (to me), but apparently they are considered beautiful here.

Is this a bad thing? As far as I'm concerned, NO! If I think a girl is beautiful, then it doesn't matter to me what other people think about her. If she thinks I'm handsome but nobody else does, that's okay. It just means less competition for both of us. What's wrong with that?

On the other hand, why do people (such as exercise_in_futility) feel the need to disparage the guys (or girls) who have found happiness in this way? Let's let everybody do their own thing and be happy for them that they both found partners who suit them.

Haha that is funny. But what EIF says is a little true, the handsome/rich and young Korean guys don't care about the girl you are dating/texting unless she is in their league. And if you are picking up chicks while you are on a 3 week vacation then they are probably not in that league, not to say they are not 'hotties' but still not in that league.

OP asks why Korean woman are easy.

The answer: Women also have needs, what's wrong? Korean women are not easier than other women in the world.

Given the possibility, most men could go to bed 30 seconds after they meet the women. How long would that take a Korean woman to, normally, say 3 dates?(my guess) You think that Korean women are easy?

When I started to date guys at age 24, I definitely was easier, I didn't really know much about sex but the curiosity was just off the charts...all the time. Women are driven by their hormone as well.

Not only foreigners get Korean girls, Korean men get even more girls than you do... Cool

I researched the topic here briefly using the search function, and I found some stereotypes that *seem* to validate my own limited experience. I'd love to just throw it out there and get confirmation directly by posting a thread on the subject.

So, I traveled to Seoul for 3 1/2 weeks. Just got home, but I do miss it to some degree. I'm Chinese american, tho I've been told that I could pass up as Korean as well. I'm not sure this is relevant. I'm over 30 (tho look maybe 2Cool, which the first few days after being in Korea, and realizing age is such a big deal here, made me feel really depressed (being that I'm single and currently in between jobs, I just wanted to jump off a building).

In any case, after talking to Koreans and foreigners alike, I got the impression that:

- there's boatloads of attractive Korean women in Seoul. Maybe due to plastic surgery or whatnot, but I found them to be mostly skinnier than their western (american) counterparts, which gives them an automatic +1/+2 in my attraction scale.

- they're also incredibly self conscious of their image. During my stay, I saw them countlessly preening themselves and fixing up their hair or makeup, in the subway, on the way to the subway, anywhere there's a mirror. They also like to take self portraits a lot. I recall watching a commercial on Korean tv for a camera called the Vuu(?) which has an lcd screen on the same side as the lens for self portraits.

- they (and Korean people in general) seem to be quite 'boring' in what their activities are, being *generally* limited to eating, drinking, shopping, and hanging out by the boatload in coffee shops with their friends I have *never* seen so many groups of women hanging out in coffee shops as I have seen in Seoul.

Most importantly, as a guy:

- dating here seems ridiculously easy as a foreigner. I don't care if you're the pimp back home or a loser, it just seems that as a foreigner, you automatically come built in with a +1/+2 over whatever your game is back home. I've read on these forums that guys who couldn't get any back home have more girls they know what to do with.

I'm no slouch back home in San Francisco, and maybe since I was on vacations I didn't care, but in the 3 weeks I was there, I was texting 3-4 girls, and went hanging out with them, had them show me around, and even tried a love hotel with one. (just had to put that experience under my belt, like norae bangs, eating live squid and pocketball).

Now my question is: why is it so seemingly easy?

this discussion board is full of trolls (from 'asia finest')... presumably chinese (americans or whoever).

op: dream on... there'd be days like that.

That meme has run its course. Who the hell actually says 'hotties'? Are you Dan Cortese?

Hah. However you'd like to interpret that. As it were, I find myself exhausted by this topic as well. It's pre-thanksgiving evening here, and I'm off to have a couple drinks with some buddies. And meet some hotties.

Awesome bro. Don't forget to wear your bomber jacket and wail on some guitars.

I think you guys just hit on a lot of ugly chicks.

I mean, yeah a good number of dudes have very attractive Korean girlfriends but the first 6 months my dude bros and I were here they were constantly gawking at the fugliest, porn-star-looking, used-up women they could find and giving them 8's. Sure, as a Korean-American I'm probably a lot more used to Korean women but SRZLY... take a hard look at what you're bragging about and reconsider how much of a 'conquest' it was.

That said, I agree with people about how immature Koreans are at a younger age compared to westerners. We've simply dated more, we've got more experience, and we know the rules of the game. Even the worst major league team can beat a park-league slow-pitch team into pulp.

All I ever hear are stories about Koreans who want to be boyfriend-girlfriend after the second date as well as the numerous girls who won't return my phone calls because I wouldn't be their boyfriend after our second date.

Sure you did troll. The first complaint on record about the search function was made by Moses.

I didn't say I had a complaint about it. Slow day today for ya, is it?

The point is that the search function hasn't worked in a long time, so you didn't research jack with the search function.

True or false: Lotto roaster's back.
