Hello, my visa was renewed for a 2nd year in 2008. But there was a one week between jobs so I am not sure the exact date my visa expires and when I need the new one to take place.

Since they only stamp the back for year two or more, how can one tell when it expires?

Look on the front (of your ARC).

The stamp on the back is supposed to have the Year/Month/Day of the new expiration date. I just checked my ARC and the three stamps all have that date. There's room for three more extensions.

I think it'd be a good idea to return to your local Immigration office and have them rectify that. It really is supposed to have the latest expiration date on the back.

If the OP switched jobs and had a week off between jobs, it was not a 'renewal' and there would be no date on the back.

There should be two dates on the front of the ARC:
- the date of entry; and,
- the date of expiry of the period of sojourn.

Right. My post above refers to those who renew at the same job. That's when the Immigration office is supposed to annotate the reverse of the card.

Well I did switch from Dague to Pohong city. Dague gave me a letter to give immigration . I kept the same card.

On the back theres a few square boxes. I guess each box is spamped if you stay another year. Those stamps don't have dates. The schools name in black is written in korean.

I only ask because I don't want to get in trouble. The immigration office is 2+ hours away. They don't know English. And last year there was a whole mishap. My boss last year had me working 12/12/08 as my last date but the visa expired on 12/10/08. So I got in trouble, and I dont want itto happen again.

Oh, I'm not hacking on you.

I'm just trying to get my posts up to 25, so that I can send PM's.

God it's tedious. Very Happy

(That's 1 more! Cheers!)

Henri,

listen #1 cardinal ha-na, ordinal il
and #2 cardinal dul, ordinal i
repeat #3 cardinal set, ordinal sam

Respond to each and you'll be three (maybe six) closer to your goal. Wink
