Hi,
Just what the subject line says. I am heading to New Zealand in March and need a low cost phone that works well to use there for the next year.
Thanks |

why dont you just buy one when you get there? Can pick them up for 100 dollars new on prepaid. Telecom and vodaphone shops are pretty much everywhere haha....
Or www.trademe.co.nz for second hand phones....new zealand site like ebay. |

Pre pay is a rip-off. If you're there for a year a contract is defiantely the best option and you will be able to get a free phone.

lol if it fits in with what he wants/how much he will be using it...
I only text so prepaid was always the best for me (or those telecom flexi plans but they seem to have got rid of them ><) |

.....you can do the same with both telecom and voda for the extra credit...and they have alot better service than 2degree imo...however just for ease, if i was travelling in NZ id just walk into a store and get a 100 dollar phone good to go on prepaid.
Because
a traveller cant get a contract phone
trade me and second hand means signing up and arranging delivery
a little risky buying a phone out of the country as they might be locked...or have to be on roaming to work in nz. Roaming=$$$$$$$ |

I did check out ebay, and through the New Zealand location found a phone there a unlocked quad for about $75 US. Lots of the bells and whistles on it. Already messaged the guy there and no problem I can get one once I am there and he will deliver as he is in Auckland too.
Thanks for the advice guys, I am going for a pay as you go, as I will be there for at least 8/9 months. And will see what happens afterwards |

Okay not really sure of what you are saying. Can you get cell phones here for free in Korea, let me know here or pm me. As for taking phones back to New Zealand from here, make sure that they are GSM phones and use 900, that way they will work there. Normal Korean phones will not as they have a different system. |
