Gosh, I hope not. I'd think you were a big loser if you worked the Ding Dang Dong academy. How old are you really? I think anybody the works at the ding Dang Dong Academy has some serious problems. I think someone that works at the Ding Dang dong Academy likely drives a Pinto or a Gremlin. |

If you have worked in Korea longer than 3 years you will know that Ding Dong Dang schools are even more synonymous with foreigner mistreatment than the infamous Wonderland schools. Honestly, I thought the chain had gone out of business due to the bad PR the schools were getting. Employees assaulted, fired before finishing the first month and not getting paid, locked out of the apartment and unable to access personal possessions, women sexually harrassed, actual salary 1 million won less than what was stated in the contract, apartments without running water, etc............
It's been ages since I have heard of a Ding Dong Dang school, but when I did I cannot ever recall hearing anything positive about one. |

It is a respectable academy run by decent, law abiding, and most importantly, honest people. |

Ding Ding Dang
I worked for the Jukjeon branch in Daegu in 2001. It was fine
You can't really generalise about franchised chains. Every branch is different |

Anyone with half a brain knows enough not to equate or generalize a chain school....it all depends on the owner. Period. Most are boneheads though with no respect for others...it's only about the money.... |

I'd love to have Ding Dang Dong Academy added to my resume. It's worth it to work there just for that. |

I just caught the title: A rocket scientist asking about Ding Dong Academy. Ding dong also means a pretty dumb or loopy person. Now, that's funny. |

Like I've said many times before, it's all Ding Ding Dang in Korea. Especially to prospective employers back home. I'll never add my Korean work experience to my resume if I apply for a job in Canada. I'll just tell them I had lots of money and was travelling.
But if I ever end up working for them, it's time to leave. |

Interesting thoughts...swallow this, first of all it is called Ding Ding Dang. Not sure if you have noticed, but you are in Korea. With that said, the words Ding Ding Dang is what Korean kids say when imitating the sound of a school bell. Is the name of a business in a foriegn country supposed to appease you?
They have a great program for kids learning English and if you have never taught before, they have a great program for learning how to do so.
A good job if you just got off the plane and landed in Korea.
Not sure what your beef is with DDD, but it seems you got more issues than just the name. Your post is foolish. |
