I've been using a Palm Pilot since 2003 and I think it's about time to upgrade to something more current. Any recommendations?

...or iPod Touch. Both replace all the functionality of your old Palm plus combine music and movies and internet. If you have a Mac and use iTunes and iCal I'd highly recommend either device. I don't know how well they sync calendar and contacts with a PC, though.

Or just get any smartphone and combine everything into one device. No point carrying around a separate phone or music player.

How expensive is it to use the Internet over the iPhone here?

Similar to Canadian and American pricing. I pay 65,000 a month for 1GB of data (and minutes and texts as well). It's expensive but worth it for me.

The iPod Touch's organizational capabilities (Calendar, Contacts) are the exact same. Safari and Mail are the same as well but require wifi. You could get a Touch and pay for NESPOT (like 3,000/month) if you don't need 3G.

Palm Tungsten C. Get a refurbished one off ebay for cheap. I haven't seen anything better than the palm yet even though technology is supposed to be advancing. Tungsten C may be over 7 years old but it's lightning fast, has a great battery life and is very stable. The only catch is that it doesn't sync with anything newer than XP.
